Clearing for dummies!

So, you’ve opened your envelope by now and the news is either excellent (A grades throughout) mediocre (you didn’t quite get the grades you were looking for) or you bombed like Bush’s boys over Baghdad.

So you are either on the champagne already, listening to Joy Division and reading Samuel Beckett novels or… you don’t know what to do next.

Well, as usual us clever-clogs types at StudentUK can help. With our special guide to clearing. Click here for our Introduction to Clearing page.

It’s a scary process, but we tell you how to negotiate the dastardly slopes of clearing mountain. Errr, what we mean is we tell you how to apply and how to get through clearing from here!

And we have more advice on getting offers if you click here.

Finally we have an article from an sUK member telling you how to deal with the stress of not knowing if and where you are going to Uni. Click here to read it!

And if you look at the individual University pages through the clever little search box on the left, you will see we’ve added more information for you in the form of a ‘What sUK members say’ – in the form of Top Tens and a ‘What they say’, which is a selection of the Uni PR blurb for ya. Enjoy it!

Oh, and good luck!

Apply now for a teacher training course starting this September. Places are available on BEd, a BA or BSc with Qualified Teacher Status courses. Study the subject you love and share your enthusiasm with others after you graduate.

Not going to Uni for dummies!

Please excuse our unsubtle language – we know the last thing you want to be told now is that you are a dummy. But you probably won’t feel any worse than you do already, so we’ll risk it.

At least we have a few ideas for you to be going on with to pass away the time you could have spent brooding over those less-than-perfect results. Hell, you’ve probably not done so well as you’ve had such a great time over the last couple of years. We should be jealous, not offering advice!

The first place to look at is out page of ideas for if you missed out on Uni. All the options are available if you click here.

One of the best is working a gap year somewhere – click here for more and enjoy. A year out isn’t always the worst option. You may even get rich!

Finally there are some useful contacts here to help you in your choices.
