here are literally thousands of university places available through Clearing, but you’ve got to move fast!

Even if you haven’t applied through UCAS, it’s not too late to apply for a Higher Education course starting this September. And there may even be more financial help available to you than you think.

Firstly: take a deep breath.

Secondly, call your Local Education Authority (LEA) to find out what help is available.

When you choose your course, remember there are plenty of flexible study options to suit your needs including full-time study and part-time study and earn-while-you-learn HE qualifications such as Foundation Degrees.

But where do you start? It’s easy. We've done some of the hard work for you. Besides speaking to your teacher or tutor about all the options open to you, here’s what to do:

• Visit the UCAS Clearing website at www.ucas.com

• Visit the Connexions web site at www.connexions.gov.uk

• To find out about the benefits of Higher Education visit http://www.dfes.gov.uk/aimhigher/" target="“_blank”">www.aimhigher.gov.uk. Remember, you’re not the only one in this position. But if you follow this simple advice, you’ll be sorted and on your way. Easy peasy. Now get going!
