1. With the recent merger of Manchester and UMIST uni's, Manchester University is now the biggest in the country! That's now twice as many guys (and girls) at one university! Not to mention all the students at Salford and Manchester Met, Manchester's bursting!!!

2. Club Trop! A Manchester instituton that's been running for years and years! The cheesiest tunes and cheapiest drinks around on a Tuesday night. £1 double spirit and mixer all night!!!

3. 5th Avenue. Indie, alternative and old skool music 7 nights a week with drinks from just 70p!

4. The Bop at Owen's Park! The only place to be on a Friday night if you're a fresher!

5. Tuesday is Student Market day! Funky clothes and jewellery, book sale, posters, music and loads more! Guranteed every Tuesday in the academy.

6. Buses galore. The route from Didsbury to town never stops and you're guaranteed a bus even at silly o'clock in the morning. Weekly, unlimited bus tickets from as little as £3 means you can get to and from uni, town, nights out and virtually anywhere whenever you want!

7. Fallowfield - the student haven. It's virtually all students ranging from freshers in halls to the older years in their student houses. It has plenty of bars, pubs, restuarants, take-aways and even clubs so there's never a dull moment!

8. Shopping! The Trafford centre is only a short bus journey away and the Arndale centre is in town.We also have all the posh shops on Deansgate and just off it, including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and all the little designer shops!

9. Manchester in general has everything to offer - plenty of clubs and pubs, various music venues, museums and galleries including the Lowrey, Whitworth Art Gallery and Manchester Museum (on campus and free), Manchester Art Gallery and much more! And you'll always see a familar face from Corrie or Hollyoaks around sometime, guaranteed!

10. And of course the uni in general! It's all on campus, library open til 10pm (midnight during exam periods), loads of places for lunch and to study, and the staff and facilites are all great!
