f you’ve been blown out of the water on all six choices, or you’ve
simply chosen to decline all the offers that have been made, you
can try UCAS Extra which allows you to approach further choices.

If you are eligible for Extra you will be sent a letter giving you
the option to take part in the scheme, either by using an Extra
Passport or by referring yourself online. (Be warned: you have to
do it one way or the other – you can’t use both methods.) If you
receive an Extra Passport you can approach universities and
colleges directly, although only one at time. If you’re doing this
online, via the UCAS website, you can only apply to unis and
colleges that are open for Extra . So you’ve applied. What happens
next? UCAS gives the uni or college 10 days to consider your
application. They will send their decision to UCAS and if you are
made an offer (usually conditional if you haven’t taken your exams
yet) you can decide whether or not to accept it. If you accept an
offer you can no longer take part in Extra. If you already have
your exam results, you may receive an unconditional offer. If you
accept this, you will automatically be placed at that uni or
college. If you decline an offer or are rejected by a uni or
college, you can re-enter the Extra scheme, time allowing. Further
